The founder of Sabir Consultancy Dr. Sabir Mohamed Hassan has been the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS) for his first and second appointment for 16 years. He started his career in the CBOS in 1968, leaving in 1976, and rejoining upon his first appointment as Governor in 1993 to 1996. Dr Sabir served as State Minister in the Ministry of Finance and National Economy from 1996 until 1998 before resuming his position as Governor of CBoS for his second appointment from 1998 until 2011.

Dr. Sabir Mohamed Hassan’s career outside CBOS included “not limited to” Adviser to the Executive Director for the International Monetary Fund from 1983 to 1990, and General Manager of Bank of Khartoum from 1990 to 1993. He also lectured part-time in several local and worldwide universities from 1976 to 1982.
